CHARITIES SELECTED FOR LET’S PAWTNER TOGETHER
Three pet organizations are selected to participate in the “Let’s Pawtner Together” holiday charity program sponsored by Dazzling Paws Jewelry

Wisconsin Sheltie rescue is a volunteer group. Educating the public about the Shetland Sheepdog breed and finding new homes for displaced shelties are two of its purposes. The WSR network now includes adopters in Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, and Virginia. Approximately 800 people who have adopted, are waiting to adopt or just share a genuine love of the breed, receive the monthly WSR newsletter. It is our goal to continue to successfully place these wonderful creatures in permanent, loving homes.

Formed in 1998 by a group of concerned citizens, ICHS became an incorporated business and 501 c (3) non-profit organization in 1999. As a no-kill animal shelter, the Humane Society has euthanized fewer than 150 animals from 1998-2008. ICHS incurs all of the costs for medical treatment (including vaccinations, medication, surgeries, sterilization etc.) as well as the costs for food, bedding and daily care for all animals at the shelter.
Services Offered by ICHS include: Adoptions, pet behavioral counseling, assistance with re-homing pets, shelter services for stray/homeless animals from Iowa County, educational programs promoting humane treatment of animals and responsible pet ownership, low-cost vaccination and licensing clinics, pet food pantry program, emergency sheltering for pets of domestic abuse victims and cruelty,neglect and abuse investigations.
The Iowa County Humane Society is the only animal welfare organization serving the citizens and animals of Iowa County and is dedicated to providing shelter and care to stray, unwanted and abandoned animals of Iowa County. Founded on the principle of maintaining the philosophy of a “no-kill” shelter, the Iowa County Humane Society is committed to finding loving and caring homes for all of the animals who become our residents.

Partners For Pets “pulls” animals from high kill animal control facilities who are in imminent danger of euthanization and completes all needed medical work (including spay/neuter, heartworm test/treatment, microchip, shots, etc… prior to adoption. We also recently opened a low cost spay/neuter clinic.
