Also known as the Italian Mastiff, the Cane Corso’s name in Latin translates to “Protector Dog”, a fitting name considering the Cane Corso was bred to guard property against intruders in ancient Italy. A similar breed to the Neapolitan Mastiff, the Cane Corso is a muscular, athletic, and highly protective family companion.
